The Rheinbahn App offers convenient transportation options by bus and train in the Düsseldorf area, as well as throughout the VRR (Rhine-Ruhr public transport system) and NRW.
Key features of the Rheinbahn App:
- Deutschlandticket: Easily purchase the Deutschlandticket for 49 euros, which allows you to travel throughout Germany by bus and train. This digital ticket replaces the 9-euro ticket.
- Dashboard: Upon opening the app, you'll be greeted with a personal dashboard that provides quick access to main functions for public transport in Düsseldorf. Purchase the Deutschlandticket, view an overview of your purchased and valid tickets, and save your most important connections and lines in "Schnellauskunft" or "Abfahrtsmonitor".
- Digital Subscription: Manage your subscription digitally and convert any smart cards into a digital subscription with a barcode.
- EEZY.NRW: For occasional public transport users in the Düsseldorf area, the Check-In/Check-Out fare option eezy.nrw is available. Simply check in using the app and check out at your destination, and the fare will be automatically calculated based on distance traveled. The monthly cost is capped at 49 euros.
- Tickets: Access the full range of VRR, VRS, NRW, and Deutschland tickets within the Rheinbahn App. Additionally, purchase tickets for bicycles or first-class travel. Multiple payment options are available, including SEPA direct debit, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), prepaid (not available with eezy.nrw), and PayPal.
- Multi-Trip Tickets: Clear display of your 4- and 10-journey tickets, allowing you to easily track how many journeys you have remaining.
- Timetable Information for NRW: Our intelligent timetable information system prioritizes your frequently used stops or stations, in addition to your set favorites and current location.
- Travel Info: Stay informed about current delays on buses and trains with our Travel Info feature. This allows you to plan your journey accordingly.
- Individual Quick Information: Simply select your start and destination favorites using drag and drop, and the app will display the next available connections.
- Departure Monitor: Choose a stop or station, and the Departure Monitor will show you the upcoming departures. By utilizing our punctuality forecast, you'll know the exact departure time.
- Push Messages: Customize push notifications for your favorite lines and times, so you can stay up-to-date with relevant information about delays. Easily switch to alternative bus or train lines to ensure smooth travel.
